On Saturday, March 8th, Funeral Pyre Theatre held a FUNdRaiser at The Dawghouse Pub & Grill at 699 Wilkins Avenue. What a fantastic afternoon!!
Foremost, I would like to say THANK YOU to Bill and Cindy May, proprietors, who have ALWAYS been huge supporters of everything I do! They have let me use the bar to film movies; they have provided donations/time for my Fringe projects, and last night offered up their stage and floor space to host our FUNdRaiser! These awesome people run a FAB business - GREAT food, AWESOME staff and LIVE entertainment Fridays and Larryoke on Saturdays! If you are in need of a place to pop in for some good REAL food and a cold bev - stop by The Dawghouse and say "Hi" - you WON'T be disappointed!
Also - thank you to Steve Gorman & Co for performing original music - we heard good things from the audience - it was so great to hear new music and performed with such passion! A huge Thank You to Alex Bowman & Co for their improv comedy skits - it was a fun change of pace - great job!!
A special thank you for giving up a Saturday afternoon to come out and support us goes to our cast and crew and their families (special note to Savina Monopoli for bringing an ENTIRE 2 tables of people!)
Also, a thank you to all of the patrons of the Dawghouse who donated some cash, and who tolerated our rowdiness! We raised $300 which will go towards set and costumes for A Midsummer Nights Dream which opens Tuesday, April 7th at The Arts Project!
We have an amazing dedicated DREAM cast - come and see our show !!
